O sindicato de roteiristas de Hollywood anunciou, na quarta-feira (21), os indicados ao Writers Guild Awards 2024, prêmio que reconhece os melhores roteiros e filmes produzidos para TV e cinema. Entre os nomes estão Oppenheimer, que concorre ao troféu de Melhor Roteiro Adaptado, e Barbie, disputando pelo Melhor Roteiro Original. 

O que você precisa saber:

  • Oppenheimer disputa com mais quatro grandes filmes, entre eles Assassinos da Lua das Flores, de Martin Scorsese; 
  • Já Barbie disputa com dois destaques: Os Rejeitados e Segredos de Um Escândalo, entre outros; 
  • Na categoria das séries, as famosas Succession e The Last of Us disputam pelo Melhor Roteiro de Drama;
  • Nas comédias, The Bear e Barry também foram listadas; 
  • Em melhores episódios, o primeiro do live-action de One Piece foi lembrado, sendo indicado por Melhor Roteiro em Programa Episódico ou Especial Infantil. A adaptação concorre com Sweet Tooth, da Netflix, Percy Jackson e os Olimpianos e Goosebumps, da Disney; 
  • Os vencedores do WGA 2024 serão anunciados no dia 14 de abril.

Oppenheimer tem sido o grande vencedor das maiores premiações do cinema. O filme de Christopher Nolan já coleciona estatuetas, com reconhecimento significativo no Globo de Ouro, Critics Choice Awards 2024 e BAFTA 2024 — ele aguarda agora a cerimônia do ASC Awards 2024 e, claro, do Oscar. 

Já Barbie não tem refletido seu sucesso de bilheteria nas premiações, embora também esteja recebendo muitas indicações. No BAFTA, por exemplo, considerado o Oscar do Reino Unido, a produção conseguiu cinco recomendações, mas não levou em nem uma categoria.
