The Japanese research company Gatebox Lab has an incentive program to hire people involved in romantic relationships with non-flesh and blood beings.
As reported Kotaku, Gatebox pays 5.000 yen (R $ 145) as compensation for employees who live a married life with the characters, and even gives a day off on the spouse's birthday.
On its website, the company provides a marriage certificate - although the document is not accepted by the Japanese government. To obtain it, the employee needs to fill out a form answering when he met his spouse, remembering some memories of the couple and how the marriage proposal took place.
Marriages with three-dimensional and even non-human characters, such as elves and beasts or belonging to science fiction universes, are also valid for obtaining the perks. But multiple marriages are not accepted.
