Buried Flash Player: plugin will definitely stop working this Tuesday
Adobe Flash Player stopped playing Flash files on Tuesday. The change marks another step in the closure of the format created in 1996.
The discontinuity of Flash support was already prepared since 2017, with the shutdown of several related services, as well as the update of the “swf” format.
In a statement, the company recommended that all users remove Flash Player from their computers to protect their systems.
The vector format with support for videos and animations permeated most of the internet in the 2000s.
In mid-2015, the first channels with HTML5 support began to appear, a model that reproduces the same content, but is much lighter and more secure.
Since Adobe confirmed the end of Flash, it has encouraged content creators to develop materials with new formats.
