CES 2021: Vespera wants to bring astronomy closer to everyone

Redaction 12 January 2021

Amazing design and engineering. These are the pillars of the innovation award offered by the Consumer Electronics Show every year.

In the 2021 edition, one of the winners was Vespera, the smallest space observation station in the world, created by the French Vaonis.

The device is a miniature version of Stellina, a hybrid of smart telescope and camera.

The project started in October last year as a Kickstarter fundraising campaign.

The idea was to obtain US $ 10 thousand, about R $ 55 thousand, but the company collected US $ 2,5 million. That is, more than R $ 14 million. In all, 2.163 interested parties participated in the “little cow” in just one month.

The campaign was the most successful of all time in the space exploration category. The device started shipping to supporters before Christmas last year.

And speaking of a CES award, Vespera's older brother won in the same category in 2018.
