The National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) and the Ministry of Health updated this Monday (22) the data on the situation of the Covid-19 in Brazil. See the numbers from the last survey with deaths in the last 24 hours:

  • 639 deaths in the last 24 hours;
  • 26.986 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours;
  • 247.143 deaths;
  • 10.195.160 confirmed cases
  • 9.029.159 recovered (on 29/02 at 18:25 pm).

On July 29, 2020, the country recorded the highest number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours; were 72.377 new cases.

On June 16, 2020, less than a month after reaching the sad mark of one million cases of Covid-19 confirmed, Brazil registered more than two million infected in the country. On July 8, however, a million of people have recovered from the disease. Currently, Brazil is the second country with the most deaths registered by the new coronavirus, behind only the United States.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the new coronavirus already infected more than 111 millions of people worldwide, a milestone reached just ten months after it appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The number of deaths per Covid-19 in the world exceeded 2 million on january 15o. On the other hand, more than 60 million people have already recovered from the disease.
