Carbon 1 Mark II will be the first carbon fiber smartphone

Redaction March 2th, 2021

When we switch smartphones, we usually pay more attention to the default settings like RAM, camera quality and battery.

But one detail that must be taken into account is the weight. Thinking about it, the German company Carbon Mobile launched on the market the lightest smartphone in the world, the Carbon 1 Mark 2, with only 125 grams.

For comparison, a similar-sized model, such as Samsung's Galaxy S21, is 44 grams heavier. It seems little, but it makes a lot of difference in use!

The Carbon Mobile smartphone does not have much news when it comes to specifications.

The phone has a 6,01-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 2160 by 1080. Regarding the hardware, the device has the Helio P90 processor, 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal storage, which can still be expanded with a micro SD card.

The front camera has a 20 mega pixel sensor and, at the rear, the device has two sensors of 16 mega pixels each.

A detail that may please is the fingerprint reader mounted on the side. The smartphone comes standard with Android 10, but it already has an update to Android 11. Carbon says that the Mark II will receive two years of important software updates.

The most negative point of the device is the price. Initially, the Carbon 1 Mark II arrives on the market for 799 euros, about 5 thousand and five hundred reais. And for us here in Brazil, we still have freight and taxes! Will we see Carbon around here?
