Researchers at Imperial College, London, have created a kind of ecological curved wall that can lessen the effects of air pollution for those who walk the streets.
The invention is relatively simple ... it is a barrier composed of a hollow aluminum structure and some area plants.
The goal is for the particles that come out of the car exhaust to be trapped in the short walls and not be sucked in by pedestrians walking on the sidewalk.
According to the researchers, if the project is successful, the main installation focus will be low-income communities. Generally, these areas are closer to roads with a high volume of traffic.
