Like other automakers, Honda will join the temporary stoppage of production lines in Brazil due to the worsening of the pandemic. The measure was announced on Friday.
The suspension was scheduled between March 30 and April 9, and will affect operations at the Sumaré and Itirapina units, both in the interior of São Paulo.
The Japanese brand says it is already negotiating with the unions what will be the compensation format for hours not worked in the period.
In all, eight automakers have already announced the suspension of activities across the country: Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, Renault, Volvo, Scania and now, Honda.
