Samsung launched in Brazil, this Wednesday (7), the new intermediary cell phones of the Galaxy A line. The new Galaxy A32, A52, A52 5G and A72, announced last month, will be available in the country from today. The prices suggested by Samsung are:
- Galaxy A32: $ 2.399
- Galaxy A52: $ 3.299
- Galaxy A52 5G: R $ 3.499
- Galaxy A72: $ 3.799
From today until Mother's Day, all buyers of the Galaxy A52, A52 5G and A72 will bring a Galaxy Buds + as a free gift. The promotion for the Galaxy A32 is focused on price: until 09/05, the cell phone will cost R $ 1.999.
In the global announcement of the devices, Samsung positioned the models as intermediaries that “deliver more”. They bring features initially explored on smartphones top of the line, as a higher refresh rate on the screen, and are focused on generation Z (13 to 18 years old).
Among the features of the new Galaxy A line, the manufacturer highlights that they are geared towards social networks, games and videos, with a focus on points such as camera, battery, screen and price.
The structure of the three models is made of plastic, with an area at the rear to house the camera sensors. A good addition was the IP67 certification against water and dust, which is not available on the A32. The colors available for launches are black, lilac, white and blue. For the A52 5G, the colors are black and violet.
The screens of the new phones are all Super AMOLED with Full HD + resolution. In the case of the Galaxy A52 and A52 5G, it is 6,5 inches in size, while the A72 is 6,7 ″.

The refresh rate also varies: on the A32, A52 "common" and on the A72, it is 90 Hz; on the line’s 5G model, it jumps to 120 Hz. On the Galaxy A32, the entry model, it’s 6,4 ″ in size. It is worth noting that all four models have stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology.
The new models also use Qualcomm chipsets. The A72 and A52 use the Snapdragon 720G, and the A52 5G brings the Snapdragon 750G. The performance should be “the same” in all three, with the 5G compatibility differential in the A52 variant. The A32 already features the Mediatek Helio G80 chipset.
All new phones feature a fingerprint sensor under the screen, 128 GB of storage and options with 6 GB of RAM - the A32 is the only one with 4 GB of RAM. They also have an entry for microSD cards (up to 1 TB) and 4.500 mAh batteries in the Galaxy A52, and 5.000 mAh in the A32 and A72. Everyone brings, reinforces the company, porters in the box.
The new Galaxy A also brings Android 11 out of the box with the One UI 3.1 interface. The company guarantees a four-year security update period for devices, in addition to three operating system updates.
Stable cameras and new features
The camera set of the new Galaxy A features a total of five sensors, four in the rear. They all have optical image stabilization (OIS) on the main camera, although the A72 is the only one with a telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom - it also has OIS on this sensor. The configuration is as follows:
- Galaxy A52 and A52 5G: 64 MP (f / 1.8) + 12 MP (f / 2.2) ultrawide + 5 MP (f / 2.4) for depth + 5 MP (f / 2.4) macro
- Galaxy A72: 64 MP (f / 1.8) + 12 MP (f / 2.2) ultrawide + 8 MP (f / 2.4) 3x optical zoom + 5 MP (f / 2.4) macro
- Galaxy A32: 64 MP (f / 1.8) + 8 MP (f / 2.2) ultra wide + 5 MP (f / 2.4) depth + 5 MP (f / 2.4) macro
- Frontal camera: 32 MP (f / 2.2) on the A52, A52 5G and A72; 20 MP (f / 2.2) on the A32
A differential of the Galaxy A32 is that the cameras are not exactly in a "separate" module. Thus, the sensors are more aligned with the rear, in a slightly more uniform way.
All new models in the line feature features such as night mode and Tetra Binning, which takes a series of captures in a row to improve images, among others, in low-light locations. They also feature 4K video recording - with 8 MP photo capture while in use - and professional video mode.
