Centibilionários: Co-founders of Google join the team of the hyper rich of the planet
The team of the richest in the world has just won two more centibilionários: Larry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founders of Google. With the rise in technology stocks during the pandemic of the coronavirus, the net worth of the executives has exceeded 100 billion dollars.
Brin's fortune grew by 20,4 billion from the beginning of this year to April, and he now has an estimated net worth of $ 100 billion and $ 200 million. Page, in turn, raised 21,2 billion in the same period and reached brand of 103 billion dollars.
In 1998, Page and Brin introduced Google to the market when they were still doctoral students at Stanford University, in the United States. The platform has become increasingly popular over the years until it has become the most accessed website in the entire world.
In 2015 they created the holding A, which they commanded until 2019. Today, they receive a “symbolic salary” of one dollar a year for each one, but as they hold more than half of the company's shares, profits only increase.
Now, the two join the other six centurionaires in the world: Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon; Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO; Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft; Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH; Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook and Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
