On the night of Tuesday (13), Samsung announced a new event Galaxy Unpacked to be held on April 28. On the occasion, “the most powerful Galaxy” will be presented, as stated in the publication. A quick teaser was also released, showing a kind of “cube” with one side emitting light, as in a species cloth.
Although there are no additional details about the product, Galaxy Unpacked events, for the most part, are smartphone-oriented. Even today, however, notebooks Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360 had a certification and real images released. Judging by the size of the supposed screen shown in the teaser, the launch of the notebooks on the announced date also makes sense - as well as a possible foldable phone.
Anyway, the title “The most powerful Galaxy is coming” makes it clear that it is a cutting-edge product. According to ZDNet Korea, Samsung still intends to launch a notebook with the Exynos 2200 chip, successor to the Exynos 2100, Galaxy S21 chip, on Unpacked 2021.
It is also worth considering that the “PC Unpacked” event had been mentioned in a supposed Samsung event calendar. Disclosed by Evan Blass, the document cites the original date as 14/04. If correct, the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite should be launched in June; in July, the launch of the Galaxy A22 5G; and in August an “FE Unpacked” should take place, aimed at the Galaxy S21 FE.
What to expect from notebooks on Galaxy Unpacked?
Two notebooks are expected: Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360. They must have an end-to-end keyboard (with numeric keys) and 13,3 and 15,6 inch screens. In the second model, the screen will be able to rotate 360º so that the device can also be used as a tablet. Rumors also point to a 90 Hz refresh rate on the screens and support for the S Pen.

If the rumors are confirmed, the new Galaxy Book Pro should bring Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, but no variant with Exynos was mentioned. They should feature Intel Iris XE GPU, LPDDR4 RAM and SSD storage. On the larger screen model, an Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU is expected.
It is also worth remembering that Apple confirmed today that it will hold an event in April. “Announced” a little ahead of time by Siri, the date of 20/04, eight days before the Samsung event, will feature the first Apple presentation of the year.
