Introduced this Monday (21), the new Peugeot 3008 arrives in the country with a redesigned design and increments in semi-autonomous technology systems. The SUV, which will be available for purchase from next week, comes in two versions: Griffe (R$ 229.990) and GT (R$ 249.990). The values ​​are promotional for the launch, indefinitely.

On the technological side, the great attraction of the Peugeot Driver Assist Plus system is the adaptive and intelligent Stop & Go autopilot. The feature offers automatic vehicle re-acceleration in case of stops shorter than 3 seconds.

Right away, the redesign of the bumpers and headlights also draws attention in the 2022 model (full led) and the increase in the size of the front grill. The look, although more aggressive, is far from compromising the classy aspect of the vehicle, which kept its sobriety.

Inside, the Peugeot 3008 also had changes, with new upholstery and finishes. The seats and dashboard are covered in Alcatara (GP version) or black leather, in the case of the cabin of the Griffe version.

The engine remains the same: 1.6 THP of 165 hp and the torque of 24,5 kgfm comes at 1.400 rpm. The transmission is automatic, six-speed and front-wheel drive. It is also possible to use the manual mode, with the change of gears made by the driver himself from the fins (paddle shifters).

If the bold look of the new model, inside and outside the vehicle, and an interesting range of technological features are attractive, the high values ​​of this update end up undermining the competitiveness of the Peugeot 3008 in relation to other cars in the category. As a comparison, the Jeep Compass Sport Flex 2022: entry version of the SUV, costs around R$ 140 thousand.

In 2020, the entry-level version of the Peugeot 3008 was around R$ 150 thousand, while the Griffe Pack hit R$ 180 thousand. Despite the additions to the 2022 model, the big reason for the readjustment is not the changes, but the high exchange rate, as the vehicle is imported from France.
