This Wednesday (21), Panasonic announced the TOUGHBOOK G2, its latest tablet with Windows 10. Designed to survive the most extreme conditions such as falls and rainy outdoor environments, the device it is totally robust, but also modular.
This type of device is used by police officers, for example, or on military missions. If the user is in a dark environment in a war zone, they may not want to be seen, so they can reduce the screen brightness to two nits and trigger night vision. Every feature has a purpose.
One of the main features of the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G2 is that it has expansion packs, or xPAKs. This creates a modular design with three bays that can house one xPAK each. One lets you add a secondary SSD and the other lets you add items such as a barcode reader, a thermal camera, HF-RFID, and more.
