A Xiaomi announced on Wednesday (15) the launch of two new high-end smartphones for the Chinese brand: the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro. The devices have a 6,67-inch screen displaying content at up to 120 Hz, but what does it call attention is the loader 120 watt HyperCharge included in the Xiaomi 11T Pro box, promising 100% battery power in just 17 minutes of plugging.
The Asian company divided its launch into two different models on the inside, but very similar on the outside. In the housing, the two 11Ts use a metal body on the edges, with glass on the back and protection against water and dust, guaranteed by IP53 certification. They cannot be immersed in water, but Xiaomi says they survive when water comes in splashes – like in rain, or in the shower.
The screen is 6,67 inches on both sides and both work with 120 Hz AMOLED display, but the Xiaomi 11T Pro is the only one of the pair with the possibility of displaying content in Dolby Vision, albeit at the same peak of brightness marked in 1.000 nits. The resolution is Full HD+ and a hole does the job of putting the front camera pointing outwards, with selfie capability of up to 16 megapixels.
On the back are three lenses, the main one with 108 megapixels, the secondary camera takes photos of up to 8 megapixels for ultrawide images and the last one is focused on macro, with 5 megapixels. Both the Xiaomi 11T and the 11T Pro shoot in 4K at 60 frames per second, but only the model with the extra suffix shoots 8K videos at 30 fps.
Xiaomi chose MediaTek and Qualcomm
If on the outside little changes between the Xiaomi 11T and the 11T Pro, on the inside some changes are important. The main one is the processor, with the first model equipped with a Dimensity 1200 5G and the second with the Snapdragon 888. Both can be purchased with 128GB or 256GB of memory, but the Xiaomi 11T Pro can be configured with up to 12GB of RAM, against 8 GB for the 11T.
While the two can talk freely with 5G networks, only the Xiaomi 11T Pro can use Wi-Fi 6 networks. This is the only one of the pair that is compatible with the 120 watt charger included in the box. Xiaomi promises that the battery can go from 0% to 100% charge in 17 minutes, with 72% in 10 minutes. The other cell phone uses 67 watts, capable of filling the tank in 36 minutes – which isn't a bad thing, but it takes more than twice as long for the same 5.000 mAH.
