Producer Focus Features added a big name to the cast of movie 'Armageddon Time'. O Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins was announced as another actor in the feature film written and directed by James Gray. Besides him, Jeremy Strong will also be part of the film's cast.
The newly added duo to the film's roster of actors arrives after a good year at the awards. In 'My Father', Anthony Hopkins, from 83 years, received his second Oscar in the Best Actor category. The previous award was for 'The Silence of the Lambs' in 1992. This week, Hopkins was confirmed in 'The Son', which will likely have the title translated into 'My Son', a sequel to 'My Father', also directed by Florian Zeller.

Jeremy Strong, meanwhile, received the 2020 Emmy for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in HBO's 'Succession'. The third season of the dramatic comedy starts airing next Sunday (17).
'Armageddon Time' is already in production in New York. The film's story is based on the director and screenwriter's childhood, with a plot about growing up, loyalty and friendship. It all takes place in Queens, in the 1980s, before Ronald Reagan was elected president of the United States.
In addition to Anthony Hopkins and Jeremy Strong, the cast received additions from Banks Repeta, Jaylin Webb and Ryan Sell. Other formerly confirmed big names in Gray's film are Oscar Isaac, Anne Hathaway, Robert De Niro, Cate Blanchett and Donald Sutherland.
In addition to writing and directing, James Gray is also one of the film's producers, along with Anthony Katagas, Marc Butan and Rodrigo Teixeira. The executive production is in charge of Lourenço Sant'Anna and Rodrigo Gutierrez. The international distribution of the film will be under the responsibility of Universal Pictures.
