After many obstacles and a recent leak, the adaptation of one of the most acclaimed and popular series of games, ‘Uncharted: Off the map', finally won the first official trailer (see below). In the preview, you can see more details of Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and the mentor "almost father" Sully (Mark Wahlberg) on an archaeological exploration for a $5 billion treasure that automatically becomes a grand adventure.

The live action adaptation of the games from Naughty Dog and PlayStation Studios will show an unprecedented story focused on the early days of Nathan Drake – and it shouldn't follow any story shown in the games. However, the video makes references to several moments from the four games, mainly 'Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception' (which, interestingly, also reveals details of how the young protagonist became the treasure hunter).

The video features the leaked 40-second excerpt that went viral on social media, showing the protagonist regaining consciousness – not unlike the disaster that marks the opening scene on the train in 'Uncharted 2: Among Thieves', it's worth mentioning – and hanging precariously on a cargo plane.

However, as much as the sequel alludes to what is considered the best title in the series, the scene in question is a clear reference to Stowaway's chapter in 'Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception' – something fans have always suspected would look great in the movies, anyway. without the desert.

The trailer also showcases the protagonist's characteristic crossing skills, climbing back onto the plane and avoiding a "flood" of cargo. In another scene, a henchman, played by Tommy Flanagan ('Sons of Anarchy'), is shown approaching the slippery protagonist and mistaking him for a Scottish accent. Of course, there is a typical hard-hitting adventurer's joke, who in the middle of the fight lets out a "what?" as an answer.

The cast of 'Uncharted: Fora do Mapa' counts, in addition to Holland, with Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer ('Zumbiland', 'Venom'), who stated in an interview with PlayStation Blog who made the film “for both passionate fans of the game and those new to the franchise”, and believes “both audiences will enjoy” the “fun and action-packed” production.
