Brasil fora do Oscar 2024: veja lista dos pré-indicados

A Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas de Hollywood anunciou a lista com os quinze filmes pré-indicados na categoria de melhor filme internacional. Havia a possibilidade de presença brasileira, mas Retratos fantasmas, de Kleber Mendonça Filho, ficou de fora. Com isso, o Brasil não terá nenhum representante no Oscar 2024.

Última indicação brasileira ao Oscar aconteceu em 1999

O filme brasileiro Retratos fantasmas tinha sido escolhido pela Academia Brasileira de Cinema para representar o país na premiação. A produção ainda era elegível na categoria de melhor documentário, mas também não entrou para a pré-lista.

A última indicação brasileira a melhor filme internacional do Oscar foi de Central do Brasil em 1999. Na oportunidade, a categoria tinha outro nome (melhor filme estrangeiro). Desde então, o país só conseguiu entrar para a pré-lista uma vez, em 2008, com O ano em que meus pais saíram de férias.

Além de melhor filme estrangeiro e melhor documentário, a Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas de Hollywood anunciou pré-listas para outras oito categorias. As informações são do G1.

Barbie, mais uma vez, foi o grande destaque. A maior bilheteria de 2023 conseguiu colocar três de suas músicas (“What was I made for?”, de Billie Eilish, “Dance the night”, de Dua Lipa, e “I’m just Ken”, de Mark Ronson e Andrew Wyatt) entre as pré-indicadas a melhor canção original.
