O Emmy Awards 2023, premiação mais importante da indústria norte-americana de televisão e streaming, elegeu Succession e O Urso (The Bear) como as grandes vencedoras de seus respectivos gêneros, com ambas as séries levando seis prêmios cada uma.
Para quem tem pressa:
- Succession ganhou como Melhor Série de Drama, Melhor Ator para Kieran Culkin, Atriz para Sarah Snook, Ator Coadjuvante para Matthew Macfadyen, e outros;
- Já The Bear levou em Melhor Série de comédia, Melhor Ator para Jeremy Allen White, Atriz coadjuvante para Ayo Edebiri e Ebon Moss-Bachrach, entre outros;
- A série Treta, da Netflix, também foi destaque no Emmy 2023, conquistando cinco estatuetas nas categorias de minisséries, Melhor Ator e Melhor Atriz — Ali Wong e Steven Yeun foram premiados;
- O 75º Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards foi especial por ainda homenagear grandes programas da história da TV americana, bem como nomes importantes. Matthew Perry, por exemplo, foi lembrado enquanto a música de Friends tocava durante o tributo In Memorian.

Vale pontuar que, originalmente, o Emmy 2023 estava marcado para setembro do ano passado. Contudo, diante das greves dos roteiristas e dos atores americanos, ela foi adiada para este início de 2024. Assim, a premiação considerou produções do período de 1º de junho de 2022 até 31 de maio de 2023.
